Skype 4.0 For Linux Is Released. Download Now!

Popular chat application Skype has released its newest version 4.0 codenamed Four Rooms for Improvement‘ for Linux today. It has incorporated many features that were missing in its Linux version along with few new improvements both in terms of performance and appearance.
Some of the main features include:
  • Improved audio and video call quality
  • Extended support for more cameras
  • New call view
  • Unified chat window
  • Improved chat synchronization

Note: If you see the version displayed on the site as Skype 2.2 beta for Linux, don’t loose heart. They have probably forgot to update the website (for a long time, it seems). You can download it without hesitation.
